Will that get them to that point? I thought the stock fuel system would support even 580-600 to the wheels. I don't think a cam and E85 will get close to that.

If your talking cam + E85 on an LT1, you should not need a fuel system upgrade, but I'd suggest a +32% fuel lobe on the cam.

Jannetty racing says the stock fuel system cant handle a cammed E85 LT1. 600hp to the wheels on gas. E85 requires 30% more fuel to make that power. Correct?

Adding a +32 Fuel love is for when adding a power added correct? Why would you need to add that for a SS LT1 for just doing E85 and Cam?

I am sure Ted would not be indicating you can make 600 whp on just a cam and E85 in an LT1, however, I do seem to recall Ted indicating that fuel can get dicy at around 570 whp on a blown LT1, although there might be some variation in that in different cars. My car is cammed and on E85 and has no problems with the stock fuel system, and there are many others as well. Just ask Pray, as he is probably making more whp than me, but again, no one is at 600 whp either.

You probably would not, but if your going to cam it, why not go this extra step to provide added fuel for the future, just in case. Many folks like to go with an NA/PD cam, with the idea that will add FI at a later date.

Yeah understood, I was literally going to do a cam install this morning but before was doing some last minute research, I got factory fuel lobe for texas speed but-3 cam, but now my mind has been changed to getting the +32 fuel lobe.. I’m actually sitting down right now in my house, couldn’t sleep last night lol. I really want to instal this cam.. I’m about to drive to Texas speed and performance to return this thing lol

You’d prob want the bigger tank pump when going with the bigger lobe regardless

Yeah, was well worth it, I was lucky, was the last VVT-3 cam in stock with +32. Nice guys, quick exchange and gave me lash cap for free! Now to do a radiator and oil flush when I get home and start the build tomorrow morning!!!

If you can’t afford to cam the car. Why are you asking if you should do it???
