Post CamaroFest 7 - V6 & I4 Drag Racers

This thread is intended to get an idea of expected turnout to help make decisions as we come down to the wire on combining or keeping the classes separate. Those from last fest expressed some disagreement with how the classes were combined in bracket because of the turnout. With this thread we can get a better idea of who's going and what it may shape up like.

For reference I know I had this in he I4 class discussion thread. I'll edit it here for better clarity I4 & V6 Stock means no power adders. I'll not include a CAI in this even though it does add power. Anything outside a CAI & Suspension is generally universally considered to be a modified bolt-on/power adder. DR's also will not be classed in stock for the I4 classes because if you can't drive your car on the road from home like that why would you call it stock. This isn't to start a tire argument war but just to clarify how I've seen things done in the past. These classes can be modified as mlee said thy don't have to be done this way this whole thread is to get everything out there and discuss.

All these votes but no one saying what class they're in doesn't really help what we're looking for here.

Awesome, ty for clarifying it wasn't meant to be rude towards any of you, I know some people are bringing friends and family not necessarily on here to CamaroFest 7 just saw a lot of profiles with V8's and it kinda got me wondering if my initial post wasn't easy to understand.

I'll probly try to run the strip but I really like auto cross at fest 6. Mine has Magnaflow cat backs, C.A.I. cold air intake and a Hypertech Max Energy programmer.

You don't have to run in any of these classes to have a little fun on the drag strip. There will be plenty of open Test & Tune time to just pull up and run.

Thanks for the discussion in this thread. I'm sure it will help keep everyone involved. My hope is to keep I4 and V6 separate and even if they are combined we will have something for the fastest I4 run and the fastest V6 run. Don't forget their is a difference between LLT and LFX too. Hopefully by now the LLT's have a few mods on to close the gap.

Exactly, ty mlee i'm hoping to keep us all separate as well but for bracket we may need to combine possibly I used to drive a beast of a LLT but it wasn't tuned and I've seen what the LFX guys can do I hate to classify a low bolt-on car with a tuned bolt-on car because I know the significant difference that's why stock and modified classes can be so damn hard to separate.

Can't say as I'm serious about making competitive passes in any class but, I'll run my stock '15 1LT to help fill the "grid". Don't really care who or what is in the other lane, since I'll be running against myself in any case. Much more interested in the "CX" and the NCM track day.

I agree i'm a complete novice newbie to drag racing and I don't expect to do awesome I just wanna see what I can do and hopefully improve or get advice in person to help myself improve. I'm hoping the V6 guys get enough people i'm not anticipating the I4 getting enough to fill out the full bracket racing and will be happy doing I4 grudge runs and helping the V6 guys fill out if they choose to and ask for the help.
