The suspension can be converted to FE4 with some rear arms and swaybars. Really easy. The front strut towers on '10/early '11 did not have the mount for the oem STB but there are plenty of AM solutions. Since you want leather you're looking at a 2ss and the early '10s didn't have park assist and none of them had the HUD, both of which you would see on a '11 2ss. '10s also had some brake squeal which was addressed later with added weights to the calipers.

You can always add the HUD like I am going to do in the future. I have the parts and the accessories guy at my Chevy dealership said he can install it, but I want some more power first lol

My 10 is a late build, I have the parking sensors and the upgraded pads. Bought it with 2k on the odometer. Have 15k on it now rock solid. No leaks,or problems.

I JUST bought my 2010 2SS/RS two weeks ago. 28,450 miles, Flowmaster, K&N CAI, window tint, from a BMW dealer for $23,480, 60 day warranty. I am so happy with it its ridiculous.

I dont have brake squeal, I dont see any weights. No HUD stinks, but didn't bother me until I realized the newer ones had it.

If you get a good price on a 2010 and you don't need techy stuff from the start then that's what you should get. I haven't seen any real issues out of 2010 models other than bad brake squeal, cracked dash board above passenger airbag which is a common problem in 2010, and if you remove the rear spoiler expect to find chips in the paint where the spoiler was. Just remember 2010's are 5-6 years old now, i'd check both Autocheck and Carfax reports and take it for a good test drive before you buy it so it gives an opportunity for anything bad to show up during the test drive.

Anyhow, you could probably find a 2010 2Lt Rs for under $20,000 now. I got mine right at that with 33,000 miles on it.

Soooo if you don't want the leather and rs, I'm sure this is doable. I might even go for a 2011 for $20,000. But I was impatient. Oh and a manual too.
He wants an SS. Which I've seen around here for less than 20k
Just checked now and there's an SS 2010 automatic for 22k even, with long tube headers, k&n filter, throttle spacer, rohana 22" wheels, kenwood touch screen radio, and an SLP programmer.

If you're getting used definitely don't settle for a V6.

Only issue I know of for the 2010s is the dash board cracking, which you can cover with a dash mat. Also heard lots of heater core problems, I think there is either a recall or TSB for it.

PM matthew9440 and he can get one for you. May be some others that work at a dealer that can get one as well. Search for build sheet on here.
