Is the ZL1 really 30k more awesome then a 2SS??
I know the ZL1 will be awesome but considering GM has no problem discounting the 2SS is it 30k more awesome? Just wondering where all the extra cost is in the ZL1? Thought I saw a JEGS flyer where the LT1 was $11,500 and the LT4 was $14,300. It seems you cold build up an SS and have $$$ to spare for problems.

Most are praying the A10 lives up to its hype. it alone should set it apart from a 2SS for years to come whenever it trickles down. We're still hoping it comes out early next year, maybe it gets skipped for MY 17, and all fifty edition zl1's are the newly designed M6. Who knows, the lack of transparency is not confidence inspiring that's for sure.

Here we go again. Same thing happened when the 5G ZL1 came out. Everyone that had a SS thought they could just slap a motor in their car and it would be the same as a ZL1. Nice try but never will be the same.

It's only worth more than an SS if you don't already own an SS lol. Most people can't take the big financial hit

I think most understand that but for 25k to 30k diff in price couldn't you build up the LT1, build up the tranny and suspension and have a pile of cash left over? Plus you'd have one heck of a car.
I'm only playing Devils advocate here, plus I was bored tonight so bare with me. The fact is GM discounts the 2ss, in some cases substantially, but I don't think I see that for the ZL1. Plus the ZL1 comes with the gg tax.

True. But with MRC, NPP and 6 piston brakes available on an SS, the gap is narrower than ever. Also, eDiff available on the 1LE too..

The $30k addy is for the break proof axles...me, I just like throwing $$$$ away to help my ego. Same reason I buy Yeti products.

well I notice a huge difference from the c7 z51 to the regular SS just in the power at 3.9 zero to sixty with a manual, so a zl1 with 3.5 zero to sixty should be pretty epic plus the sound of a 650 horse power engine

Turn key 650hp with full warrenty.
Of course you could throw together a nice Ride for less but murphys law says you will be spending more time fixing, tuning and swearing than driving.
