also, the dovetail spoiler in the track screen grab looks good...much better than the wing.

This whole thread.....Deja vu.
Our first panic du jour. I will wait until I see it in person before making any judgement. |

So, the car is smaller, lighter, upgraded interior, has the new LT-1 engine, that even with a rumored 440 HP on the lighter platform will be quick as balls, and has C7 inspired taillights, and some of you guys are still finding reasons to bitch about? Be glad we have a 16 MY car, its a lot better than the 2004 MY car :\

5th gen owner: fail because it looks too much like the 5th so they won't buy. Doesn't that mean you wouldn't buy your 5th gen again if you have the choice?
5th gen owner: 6th gen looks like x car (in a degrading way). Owns a 10-13 with a rear that looks like a Malibu, diffuser from a truck, and interior from a cruze. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but some of you guys sound like a broken record. The guys posting how they don't like one or two parts, that's normal. I don't like the parts I mentioned on the 5th gen, but I like the car would have bought one a few years back if I could have. Now I have another opportunity and will hopefully be buying a 6th.

Like one member stated, I'm reserving my final judgement until I see one in person. I'm not sold on that rear-end from what I've seen.
Hopefully it's a beast on the numbers side of things Nick C.

So far I'm still in to buy a new one. Tomorrows pictures will only be better looking (GUARANTEED). Interior would have to be an utter fail, or some other shocking (negative) news would be needed for me to not want this car.
If tomorrow goes well, then I'll be calling my dealer come early next week.

Lets face it, sales have slumped in thew last year or two because the look of the 5th gen has worn on people. They are everywhere on the road now. I don't see this model changing opinions. It looks way too much like a 5th gen. Sales will see a slight increase but not enough to topple the Mustang again.

Front looks good. Rear is hideous. Not a fan of the hood, front emblem placement (not talking about the bowtie) and the corner marker placement.
With all the hype, the new Camaro should make ALL current owners say "Damn, I have to have this!" Not 3/4 of them is seems saying "Damn, I'm love my current Camaro even more". Hopefully the aftermarket can help this new Camaro in the looks department.

Many will buy it. Many will stream to the dealerships to get a remaining 2015 5th gen. I'm not sure there will need to be a fire sale on the 2015's. Maybe just the opposite.
I'm not saying it looks like a 5th Gen ate a Malibu and an Acura and this was the turd it produced, but I was expecting a radical design change more than nuance. |
