CTS-V's within a few hundred miles of me are pricey unless you go 2012-2014. I want a car with a warranty and 100% have to have a manual. They are cool cars though and total sleepers.
Gen 5 ZL1's, there are some good deals out there but being honest the interior is a deal breaker. The 6th Gen SS 1LE has similar performance and looks better and has a more nicer interior. I also really want a car with a good warranty. |

I don't let my kids dictate which fun cars I get.
My kids fit in the camaro but I haul them a round in my beater (15' Ford Focus) car that I bought low mile for $9k. Great for when the weather is too crappy for my 2SS. All in one family performance I'd be looking at a slightly used hellcat for around $50k. If 50k too much, a chevy SS or scatpack. EDIT: nevermind, you care about handling, so probably not interested in the Dodge stuff.

I made the switch from Corvette to Mustang and now Corvette to Camaro. Bottom line is, family requires a father to pretend he can take the kids in the back seat...such is life.
I did switch from hardtop to convertible and the SS is heading into the shop for a Maggie and a few other tweaks...so it will be more fun and I can pretend to take the kids in back. :-) For me, there is no car I would rather have than the Vette...maybe when the kids are older. |

You want to trade a corvette for a camaro for the ability to haul kids? Right.

I prefer the design of the 6th gen 1LE over the narrowbody C7 by far so this one is easy for me. You also get a quieter interior, similar performance, and coil springs instead of transverse leafs.

Or let me put it another way. Do you own a Corvette that you will drive 20-30% of the time and then drive an econobox family hauler the other 70-80% of the time, or do you drive a Camaro or Mustang, etc that you drive 70-80% of the time? That's what it comes down to. I would be lucky to put 3K miles on the Corvette this year. Probably closer to 2K miles. |

drive my 2015 camaro about 90% of the time.my wife is 5 ft2,so her seat slides up and my son who is 6 feet tall sits in back.if you have 3 people all 6 footers it would be cramped for passenger and back seat rider to some degree, but its doable.i traded my pontiac solstice for my camaro cause the wife bitched about no interior room and i never knew when the roof/trunklid was going to work right...bad design.

I'm about to get flamed here....Get a Hellcat Charger! Stupid Fast w/ 4 doors.
Phenomenal ride, lots of room. I own a ZL1 and my buddy has the Hellcat Charger, we trade for the day all the time. The HC Charger is the best GT car I have ever driven. Although, it is a 8-Spd Auto Only. Last edited by chicagosam; 02-17-2018 at 07:23 PM. |

And I'd you have even more money you can buy a 2018 ZL1 1le but you might get pulled over and get stuck in a boring conversation with a cop about speeding etc.

I sold my C7 to get a ZL1. Wouldn’t have for just a SS or less. C7 is a awesome car.
