There was an interesting article on Oppositelock where they called out how manufacturers are becoming a lot less creative in their tail lamp designs lately.

It's just not as iconic a car as a 5th gen and does not give that immediate "wow" factor. Also, the idea of going back to a stock car while somebody else gets to drive my modded '11 is very depressing.
I'm with you on that. Rear end and spoiler are not cutting it. Definitly a let down especially the rear end. They were going in the right direction with the Stingray inspired design, but they went too 'generic'. I like the 14-15 tail lights better..

+1..

Since the reveal, it did grow on me. I was kinda depressed after the reveal then hangry, litterally!! I wanted it to be nice and everything.

In fact, the most 'grow on me' is really the photoshot thread!! Black wheels, different spoiler, different hood, different wheels, etc. It is too much stock/generic looking for my taste. Its not ugly, its still great, but the 5th gen as this concept/extra look that makes you fall in love right away!

Anyway, as I see it, its nice, but it will need black wheels, stripes and better color to buy one. The yellow is reeeallyyy nice! blue is great too but I just cant go back to silver wheels! Plasti dip on the 1st day of ownership hahah!

This car is far better looking than the out going model, and those were big shoes to fill. I love it ,and will be in the market for one once the big HP models come out.
