The price isn't that much higher for what you get stock. Did you guys honestly think GM was going to lower the price or something?
These price points are right in line with what was expected. If you equip a current 2015 to include most of what we get in 2016 the price is right. Now if the performance is there as well, even better! I honestly think many of you have had misplaced expectations. Maybe it's AL's fault... but overall looking at what we will be paying for, the price is accurate.

I agree ^^^ the price does look right. Seems like a good deal for the performance this car has. 4 seat corvette comparison.

Doesn't matter either way, since I'm waiting until next year. The price is true to what I expected. No complaints here. This Camaro is the Camaro you and I want. Still going for a 2SS with MRC, NPP, and maybe NAV. I'll write a check for $12,000 as a down payment and see what my cousin can do for me. I won't get treated like regular folks, which is a plus in my case.

High but justified.
Kinda good i'm not in a position to buy anything until the end of the year anyway so i'll see how everyone else makes out with them and the final numbers on the car. |

expected. And it just further proves my $40K + price prediction for the 2SS. I was one of the few in that previous thread who expected a 2SS OVER $40k.

The only way I could see going with the 6th gen is if it was priced lower than the Mustang. They weren't creative with the body and it doesn't even look as good as the 5th gen.
All the track stuff doesn't need to be on a base SS and neither should a lot of the new features. The pricing is so out of step with the Camaro audience I'm wondering if GM's trying to phase it out again. |

I think the price is right on what I expected more refined car with a 2k to 3k increase. I did not think for one second that GM would put all this extra stuff plus MRC and be able to keep it same price or cheaper then the mustang that's a laugh
PS: I'm sorry but what I've seen so far the 6gen takes a dump on the 5thgen in styling. |

Its not about the PRICE its about the car is fully loaded with stuff some people dont need I would love a simple 1SS with an 8A for DD here in orlando, 450 hp, lighter car... thats all I was hoping, for about 35... some people may forgot it but the camaro was called the America honest car because it was about the simple and beautifull experience of performance but no... they had to load the basic trim V8 with EXPENSIVE stuff that increase the price.. and you can bash me all you want I know Im not the only one here... they could had release a basic SS W/O rs and 3 radiators and bla bla bla for less... dont get me wrong the 2SS is the best bang for the buck for all what it comes with, for example MRC for les than 2k is brilliant.. but they made a BIG mistake with the 1SS

However, non RS equipped 5th gen. Camaros (V8) are pretty rare around my area. |

It's pretty much what I expected for the level of options. It's just going to make a 2SS convertible automatic pretty high in the $40s. I just hope it doesn't hit the big $50K.

So the new 1SS will outperform a full out 1LE while being better equipped than a 15 2SS right? ..well look at this

Agreed. But we all have a line drawn as to how much we are willing to spend for what ever. Like I'm just not paying a $100 for a pair of sneakers. Same goes for a Camaro. Just think I bought my 1SS right under $34K in 2012. I know the new 1SS will have more features, but it's still has the potential to push $40K or more. Now if entertain the idea of paying $40K plus for a Camaro, then I may say what is another $10K over 5-6 years to get into Vette with my supplier discount. And that's what I'm afraid of. That many consumers will take that route and will the Camaro take the crown back from the Mustang??

Price is what I expected. I expect to pay $45,000 for a 2ss auto, sunroof and nav. I lease,so anything under 50k is in my price range. I think for what you get its worth the price! Would have considered a mustang, but don't offer enough options. Can't even get a moonroof? Challenger R/T scatpack is a good deal, but it's just not a camaro!

I expected higher.
Made in the USA. It's still expensive, but you get what you pay for. Even when you get some things that you don't want. At least nobody can call it cheap |
