I've always wanted to own not just a V8 vehicle, but a Camaro. The heavens have aligned my financial stars to make this possible next SPRING. I'm halfway to my down payment that will make monthly payments comfortable. I have a VERY close family member that runs a CHEVY dealership. My wife isn't fighting me on it since she wants me to have my own car. Her car is paid off so the house can take on another monthly car payment. However, I can wait until next year. I live in Chicago and "Winter is coming." If I go now, when I receive the car snow will be on the ground in a month or two. The extra time, buys me time to save more, knockout a few credit card bills, and possibly catch some incentives when it's time to go. I'm excited and patient all in the same. I just may do a happy dance when my cousin hands me my keys.

In 1970 looked at a used '69 RS, I think the color was called rallye green with white hounds tooth interior. I almost bought it except I saw a picture in Motor Trend of the 2nd gen Camaro due out in 3 months so I waited. Got a 1970 1/2 citrus lime metallic RS. Had it for 3 years, got married and sold it. In 2011 when Chevy introduced the synergy green color on the gen5 , had to get it because it reminded me of the '69 that I passed on. Bought a 2011 2LT RS as a retirement present for myself. Love that car. It has 60,000 miles but still looks new. That is the most miles on any car I have ever owned. I was really anticipating the gen6, and I'm not disappointed. The interior looks like a major improvement. I'm disappointed in the exterior color selections, so I won't buy a 2016. But anticipating some new colors for 2017 model. Hoping for that citrus lime color again.

I always wanted a FireBird, was close to getting one back in 2002 but after getting married and buying a house that was put on hold. in 2004 I had the opportunity again but then baby #1 was on the way and it wasn't a family approved car LOL. I was able to swing a Grand Prix GTP fully loaded since it was a 4 door Once chevy released the gen 5 Camaro I test drove one and rented one for a week on a business trip in Arizona and fell in love with it ( except the interior lol) I was going to pull the trigger last year but decided to wait until the gen 6 revel which was killing me. I thought they would release at one of the earlier car shows. I was really hoping for the NY but didn't happen. So now I am refreshing the camaro6 website all day for any new tidbits of information that might come out I am looking forward to getting the car and a nice power upgrade from my Grand Prix GTP
