And the same goes for you. Add a Boss intake, CAI and a tune and the 5.0 will take you out

The hell kitty will be kitty litter to the Z06. Based on the latest lighting round and the base models performance I think the Z06 will put Europe to shame!

It's always SS or GT owners throwing Hellcat and GT500 stones at the ZL1

Here's video proof that the Hellcat is struggling under the weight of its self appointed crown. This is footage taken from different angles during Motor Trends comparison article pasted by the OP.

You can hear the announcer clearly state that the ZL1 took the first run. Then at the end, the announcer says "...and on the Binders, still gets the Win." So whomever won was already on the brakes at the line.

Here's a clip of the same race from a different angle. This time, at the end you can here someone say, "Camaro got it........NICE"

Will this be the result of every race or at longer distances? Likely not, but Hellcat will not be handing out the ass-whipping Dodge would like everyone to believe. Just another One-Trick Pony only this time it needs a lot more practice.

What else is there to say....Other than, Oh BTW that was an 8spd Auto Hellcat against a 6spd Manual ZL1.

Even more so lets hope an SS doesn't meet up with a ZL1 anywhere.

Chrysler's engineering is IMO behind that of GM's, but I admire them for pushing the envelope in terms of power and excitement. I also think that they've done great things with the Challenger, Charger and 300C. I dare say that Chrysler had the balls to make exciting rwd models when the other american manufacturers seemed timid about making more of them.

And a Ford Pinto with a 454 in it will crush you. What's the point? My car stock will destroy yours stock on every racecourse or dragstrip in the country. Stop being a hater because you couldn't afford a ZL1.

BTW, get your facts straight. Adding those three things won't even make it faster than a BOSS, which is slower than a ZL1.

Don't worry dude, you can always buy a ZL1 front bumper, wheels, and ZL1 patches and pretend you have a ZL1.

While the Hellcat carries 5 people and the Vette 2. 2 different cars for different purposes. Glad to hear you have a C7 ZO6 coming to you.

I know, if you judged the article based on street cred and dragstrip prowess, yes the Dodge won. But if you based the result on the best all around performance and all around car, the ZL1 clearly won. The Dodge is a one trick pony for sure. And it is not all that hard to get the ZL1 into the 10s.

Agreed. It is cool they are coming out swinging with the car they have even if its 400 pounds heavier than the ZL1. It makes the whole muscle car thing more fun.

In the general muscle car admirer world drag strip times are the only thing that matters. But buying and owning a car for only that purpose leads to being unsatisfied with the car in the long run.

But I'd take the 400 pound less car any day. Physics cannot be ignored except on the quantum scale. And the Dodge is really big.

I wonder if the added bulk will allow the Challenger to perform as well as the ZL1 in crash tests. Something tells me no. The fact that my ZL1 is a tank puts my mind at ease when I have my daughter in the car. Normally I would only drive my daughter in our big SUVs, but now I'm ok with her in the ZL1.
