It would be arrogant of GM to think that everybody likes the corvette. I know several people that love the camaro and hate the corvette. So they would never get the corvette just because it's cheaper...

A base corvette is in the 40's and will only give you 430hp so you think a car that's going to be in demand unlike the base corvette and will have at least a hundred hp more will be under that price I don't think so. I'd look for it to start off just over the base corvette with a nicely equipted model pushing 50 and thats with not markup from your local dealers.

That could be, that was really just my best guess. But remember also that the Corvette is made of more expensive stuff than the Camaro. Also, looking at GT500 prices now, I wouldn't be surprised to see it in the ranges you mentioned.

Does GM put roll cages in test mules?? Maybe my eyes are just jacked up from trying to see the grille through the camo but doesn't it look like there is a roll cage or atleast a hoop in the back? I do think the hood profile looks alot like that firefarter movie car or whatever it was. Where was this taken? Oh and for all of those folks that don't think GM would go all the way with the z28, think again. If you just got out of bankruptcy and had one of the best selling cars around wouldn't you put more fuel to the fire? They'll milk this cash cow until it bleeds!

I see way too many of them on the road. Around here, the Corvette is as common as Hondas and Toyotas. They're like everywhere I look, even more common than Mustangs. I'd never buy one.

You know, this could also just be some sort of track pack, or body kit.... I mean, there definitely isn't the hood scoop that GM already hinted would be on a Z28 if they released one...

I'm sure GM will price the Z28 based on competing with the GT500, not with the Corvette. The GT500's what they really have to steal sales from.

Hmmm. Looks like a face lift Camaro to me....I think you guys are hoping a wishing a bit here. Also why did the photo guy take a pic of the FULL front..why is it cut off so ?

Hmm Edit:Ok the guard rail is there...but still looks like a facelift SS. But who knows ?
