I was really leaning towards the 1LE option on my ZL1, but after reading the constraints and how the 1LE benefits are mostly seen on the track, and how some people were reporting that the 1LE is slower in the 1/4 mile (due to the same traits that make it a supercar killer on the track) I figured I could do without the 1LE option. That and not needing the PDR are probably the reason that I took delivery of mine in 3 months and not still waiting for delivery. If you want the track pieces and the PDR, that's going to add at least 10 months to an order. Here's the question you'll have to ask, are you going to track the car enough to benefit from the wait, and the possibility of not getting the ZL1 at all if supply chain issues continue? For me the answer was a resounding no. And I have to admit that I am glad that the M6 was not constrained as that would put me in the same situation that many of you find yourselves in.

Yes, I have seen it. There is no guarantee that is the actual color that will be on the Camaro. The video even says 2022 ZR2, the GXD color code doesn't go on the Silverado until 2023. Plus you really can't tell the true color from the pictures or video. Personally I am not a fan of Silver on any vehicle, but I love the cement gray and smoke show gray from other manufacturers. If it is a Gray variant I will be changing my order from white to Sharkskin, If it is just another silver I'll keep the White (or maybe Red). I just hope GM shows us the color soon before my order gets accepted and it is too late to change.

A second ZLE I had previously put down a deposit on has been built and is headed to a Baton Rouge dealer. My deposit has been refunded (bought the vivid orange metallic 6 speed manual) and this rapid blue ZL1 1LE is available for sticker at $75,955. Specs: ZL1, 1LE package, rapid blue, A10 tranny. Some electronic parts are not installed yet (front seat heaters, rear parking assist) but will be retrofitted by the dealer. If you are interested, PM me and I'll put you in contact. Enjoy!

Hot take: The people buying ZLE's who aren't tracking them are wasting an amazing car, would be better-served with the ZL1. It's a shame.

I don’t feel it’s a waste. I want the best Camaro ever built and I feel that’s a ZL1-1LE. I’ll never race it, but it’s the car I want, so that’s what I’m buying. It’s a personal preference thing for me, but maybe not for you. My money, my decision, my car.

Man, If this was a 6MT I'd probably got pick it up.

But you'll only notice that it's superior on a track, unless it's a 1/4 mile track. Having said that, you're absolutely right, it's your money. But question, what if the constraints turn out to be so bad that you don't get your ZLE? My personal opinion is that the better rubber of the 1LE might improve the performance more than people would admit, and the idea of possibly not getting as the time marches towards the end, I'd rather order one that I can have in my hands in 3-4 months, but that was my money decision.

It'll be the most superior at being an uncomfortable grocery getter on the road.

But it's his money.

I ordered a 1LE package car as well. I currently have a 22 ZL1, but always wanted the 1LE. I do plan to track the car, but it probably won't be often enough to justify it. At the same time, I have a daily driver that I rack up the miles on and I feel like if I actually get my 1LE it will be worth more eventually. If not I am 100% happy keeping my 2022 ZL1 and giving it a 1LE look. (kinda already have) I just prefer to have the real deal. I have had cars in the past that I guarantee rode way worse than a 1LE. (2005 S2000 on HKS coilovers)

I have plenty of vehicles for getting groceries. It won’t be used for that. It’s a toy, plain and simple……just like my other Camaros.

I watch the smoking tire vlog on YouTube. He just took a Porsche Cayman GT4RS out up the canyon road with his buddy and they complained with a shit eating grin about the freeway ride to the good road. Let’s just say it is what it is lol. I think a big part of these opinions are what driving dynamics you value and your lifestyle. One car will never check all the boxes to be everything to everybody.
