Angry Just Home from Body Shop, Question

So have been busy and major bad luck lately.

Someone hit my Camaro and I'm just getting home from the body shop and settled in. Noticed the white leather didn't look too good so cleaned that up only to find a small tear in the leather.

I used to detail cars and decided to pull the side that was repaired in the sun only to find the replaced door full of swirls/scratches. Really bothers me. They did my old black car and it came out great a few years back.

Also, I never unloaded my trunk and when I opened it everything was pushed to the back of the trunk. Was wondering if anything is supposed to be in this spot. See attached picture.

Thanks! Appreciate any input.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking, but wasn't 100% sure. One thing I feel better about.

Missing the fuel funnel, you need it if you want to put gas using a gas can when you run out of fuel on the road I believe.

So I'm now missing a fuel funnel. Great. Appreciate all the help I can get. I'm sure you all know I'm not thrilled at all.

Will look in glove box as someone noted (thanks). Will look up the part as well to see what I'm even looking for. Thanks again.

Seems like it's always about the money, not the customer/end product. I just don't get how they did a great job on flat black, but destroyed a door with their paint job. Not even including the leather tear.

Was on a vacation and trying to find a gas station; didn't think I was going to make it. At least now I'll know what I need to use if anything similar happens again. Appreciate the info.

The car is a lease and with the current situation, I'm not keen on buying it after this mess.

I've had their customer service reps call me on Friday and earlier today before I was told the car was ready and the first question was... Are you satisfied with the repairs from 1 to 10. I'm sure they'll call again tomorrow. Been telling them I haven't gotten the car back yet.

Should I just let the "small" stuff go if the fuel funnel is there? Didn't think they needed to replace the door at all, but they did. Wish they didn't to be honest, but nothing I can do now.

This one guy was recommended personally years ago and was excellent on a prior car so I'm both disappointed and a bit angry/upset. What to do... if anything.

Edit: I'm pretty sure the fuel funnel isn't in the glove box, looked up some parts, would it be listed under a different name? Really appreciate any help. Trying to get things as back to normal as I can. People suck at driving! I can say that for sure.

If it were me, I'd let the body shop manager know how I felt ( fix the paint and replace the seat cover). You're paying to lease a new or like new vehicle, that's what I'd expect back from the body shop.

As far as the gas funnel is concerned, who knows if they lost it or not.
Glad I read this post, my car didn't come with one from the dealer... didn't even realize it.

no do not let that go. have them remove the swirl marks. if they ripped the leather they should replace the seat cover too. Might have a hard time with the seat.

Damn... My old 2010 2SS didn't even have swirls and it was a daily driver...

Hit a deer with it this spring had to go in for a new fender. No swirls when it came out and I could tell they buffed then entire car because it was shinier when I picked it up. Todds Autobody in Bangor, PA. Great work! Couldn't tell a difference between their paint and the factory!

Scrubbed a guardrail in my '10. Horrible job fixing it. Could still see sanding marks in the quarter, had rubbing compound ALLLLLLL over the interior, etc. Never got anywhere with it either. That shop is out of business at this point.

That's why most people just dump the vehicle after an accident. It's too hard to get good results at your average bodyshop unless you know someone or a pay a fortune out of your own pocket to get it fixed.
