Take it to the dealer. This should be warrantable. Make sure they do the turn on the afterblow feature on the car to help prevent this.

Enabled afterblow combined with cleaning existing odor source (evaporator) may give extended time between cleanings. FL is very high humidity; Absolutely a valid concern, and valid solution.

Not mold, typically bacteria colonizing the aluminum fins of the evap coil. Very difficult to remove without direct access to the coil unfortunately. Pseudomonas is one of the common species found on smelly coils. Unfortunately Pseudomonas can survive on dry surfaces for months.

This is common on many different vehicles not just 6th gen Camaros.

As my wife likes to call it: "pee rag". Her Cherokee has it, but my Camaro doesn't (7800 miles). It is decently humid here in VA, so I am not sure if it is mold or not. I just leave the environmental controls on auto and bounce between 71-74 depending on the temps outside. No issues.

I switched to a carbon filter which seems to work well. I mostly don't recirculate since the "gallon of gas spilled in trunk" incident a few months ago, though.

The 6th gen is still doing this? Both my 5th gens had the stinkiest AC I ever experienced and not to mention both had the weakest AC out of any vehicle I've owned. My 2004 Ford Lightning's AC is still perfect (and the coldest) with the stock 13 year old, 100,000+ mile cabin filter and has never been recharged and never once has it smelled in any way! Chevy's AC is just poor?
