How can I make my Doug tho rely cat back a bit louder

My wife as a gift decided to get a cat back system on my car installed . Long story short I can't change it and make her feel bad, the system does look nice just needs a little more sound , what can I do to make it louder. Keep in mind I am in ny so nothing to screw with emission. Also will my long tubes when I install them make it a bit louder as we'll. thanks

Long tubes will increase the volume. Just wait and see how it sounds before doing anything else.

It will get a little louder throughout time, but Headers will really wake it up. Install the headers and go from there.

Even with the Doug Thorley Tri-Y longtubes, i found my Doug Thorley catback to be too quite. I changed my mufflers to 2.5x14" round mufflers from Magnaflow and love the sound now.

Thanks for the replies, hopefully headers and time will make them louder, long tubes go in next month, don't really drive the car much, usually about twice a month,
