Last I saw the order bank would accept 2.0 entries November 12. That would put the start of production sometime early January.

See this thread:

Ordering available by mid November. As labor says, production likely begin late this year or January, and hit the lots sometime after that.

Order bank hey?? Don't think that exists up here in Canada... or does it? I'm namely interested to see the pricing of the 2.0T vs the 3.6 V6....

Canada Chevrolet negotiates a Guide Number which covers all Canadian dealers and then parcels out the Allocations . So the process differs from US but in the gross does not.

Think of it as Chevy Canada is a super dealer with numerous satellite stores which happen to go from the Atlantic to the Pacific Coast: One Dealer to Rule Them All.

Hope that helps. And there has to be an Order Bank, otherwise no dealer anywhere in this world would be able to get product to sell.

With all the piston problems with the LTG engines, me thinks that this problem has been solved.
That's the reason for the delay in the production of the base 2016 Camaro...

Anyone going to SEMA this year, there will be a GM supplied 2016 ATS with the latest RX system installed on display.

Tracy Lewis, the Head of Engineering & Product Development at RX Performance Products, developed a solution to the GM 2.0 turbo piston failure issue, working with GM engineering, to help solve design flaws, & overcome obstacles in product development.

The lack of understanding proper crankcase evacuation on turbo charged passenger cars has caused GM severe headaches with the failures related to this.
