GM has pretty high profit margins, and developed the Alpha prior to this. This is why the S650 Mustang will likely either be largely carryover or migrate to the D6R platform. |

It’s hard to ignore 707 and 840 hp. I doubt it’s a coincidence that the Challenger sales have been on the rise since the Hellcat came out. The Challenger has been a big car since it came out, yet sales were slow. Being able to slap 707 hp on an affordable car is a big deal. It doesn’t matter that the car weighs 4500 lbs.
The LT5 should have been under the hood of the ZL1 from launch, but that’s not how GM works yet they can’t figure out why Camaro sales are falling year after year.

Wish they brought Pontiac back. A factory Trans Am would light a flame under people's checkbook. I know it would mine if done right. I mis the entire division. All of their models had something more special than the Chevy version.

I have only read a handful of posts and not sure if this got covered but my opinion challenger is doing really well advertising their car (commercials and Fast & Furious) while coming up with 20 different packages you can build on their website. This is why the 5th gen Camaro did so well. Mixed with the transformers movie and all of the commercials I saw it made me buy one.

Agree, advertising. When people actually see my car, they did not realize the Camaro had advanced and grown up...

I'm happy to report one of those March Camaro sales was mine. Deals and incentives in March were CRAZY on leftover 2017's. Scored a well equipped RS V6 stick for $12,167 off MSRP. WOO HOO!! http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=524888

This car was from down your way in Gettysburg. MSRP was $33,575, selling price was $21,408, $23K out the door. About 36% off sticker.

The GM Financial loan ended up at 4.49% with my Tier 1 credit. I have to keep the loan with them for at least 3 months before I can refinance with my credit union at 2.20%, otherwise GMF can rescind the $1500.
