ZL1 1LE 2018 suspension

Does anyone know if you can soften the suspension for reg road driving? I do plan on tracking the car a few times, but not as much as driving it on our reg everyday roads. I have about 1200 miles on it so far.

The DSSV equipment is what it is. The only adjustments are for geometry, not ride stiffness.

You might look around for replacement springs, they are a standard size you get out of performance catalogues...but I'd be willing to bet everything you'll find is more stiff than stock.

What you can do is lower the tire pressure down to 28 PSI that will help, but your tire will ware faster.

I have one....2012 with 18k. I guess I will just have to race it and deal with it.

I put my 2012 up for sale.

Just curious about how stiff they feel, do they feel like aftermarket track oriented coilovers? So in the street, are you feeling every bump being pretty harsh?

Yes, every bump is rigid. The worst ones are on the interstate when crossing over an overpass where the surface changes for that overpass. Hang on to your kidneys for those.

But as it has been mentioned, it is a "Track Car". Just would be nice if there was an option to soften it up a bit....thats all. For the little amount of driving this car will have, I can get used to it.

Lol there is an option. It’s the ZL1 with adjustable magnetic suspension. Way more up your alley and still as trackable as can be.

Thats what I have, just older. I guess it is also the aggressive look and the fact that there are only a few hundred made that attracts me.

Watch the Tirerack ZL1 1LE review on YouTube and you'll see the driver bouncing around over bumps in the road. Then listen to his comments about the ride. He's reviewed the ZL1 and 1LE verisons.
