It works on the 2012; but I found the radio must be on for it to work...

Since I first read this tip, I've used it often and really appreciate the information.

Could it have something to do with the Mylink radio your car has and the old type radio he has?

I should clarify... I use an Android Phone (Galaxy S3, on Verizon) not OnStar.
I am not sure what it does with OnStar or iOS devices.

Drove less than a handful of times after dark, and discovered no light. Really?????

OK here is a new one I stumbled on to because we are in the middle of an Ice Storm...

Even with the defroster on high the upper corner of the drivers side windshield iced over and would not clear.

I found that turning on the dash vents (round ones on the outside) to blow upward it will clear the corner spots.
