Street legal dr's

Has anyone tried the Mickey Thompson's? Seems like the r888r's are the best i can find so far for supercharged applocations.

R888rs are not drag radials. Their sidewalls are designed to be STIFF to handle road racing cornering loads. With drag racing you want a softer side wall to allow for some wrinkle.

Thank you for the information. Sounds like I need to educate myself a little more.

The r and ss radial are the same rubber compound so I run the ss just for the few grooves to channel water if I get caught in the rain

Nitto 555R are a very good DR for the street. Last a lot longer and will not try and kill you in the rain. But will do a decent job at the track.

You have to do the harness relocate trick just to be safe. Takes about 10 minutes.

http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showth...rness+relocate

They also make the same tire that but closer to stock size. It would not require the relocation.

How about giving up cornering capability when switching to dr's. I don't take it to the track but i do enjoy the tight handling, does that pretty much go away?
