Pulled over today for rear plate
I got pulled over today for my rear plate... or lack of actually....
Really???? The car is new and still has the registration on the front windshield (for non-California folk we don't do temp plates here in Cali.... the registration is taped to the front) He told me my rear plate is a "magnet" to be pulled over. No ticket of course because the car is new enough to have not received the plates yet.... I was told "be sure to install your plates as soon as you get them". He didn't say anything about the fact I don't even have a plate holder in the front.... Maybe he'll get me for that next week? I think he is just not a Texas Longhorn fan????

If he didn't see the car from the front, or get a good look, how would he know the temp plate was there?
Edit : Or whatever. I remember when I bought my truck in 2003 (Palm Springs, CA) they gave me one of those tags with the date on it for the back of my truck. |

i live in illinois and i got pulled over for not having a front plate. i told the officer the real crime was ruining my front end with a plate and he laughed and let me go.
