Price Increases???

Now that we are "Car of the Year" is Chevy going to raise prices?
When I first sat down with my dealer here, he entered the order as TRE and told me to call him if I wanted the car. I called him an hour later and he changed it to SRE. Does this mean that the price is locked in on a sold order?

Prices won't increase first year. May not increase after that with the gap it has on the mustang.

Now if the mustang increases its price then I could see it happen.

They can change prices any time they want for any reason really.

So short answer...yeah they could. They shouldn't, but they can. The C7 has seen MSRP creep lately.

Yeah SRE order means if GM sends a revised invoice with a higher price, your price is based on the initial invoice price, and GM reimburses the dealer for the rest.

More likely the award will lead to dealers not negotiating on price

Yes and hey saw a price increase right at the first year mark. Then slowly up from there. But that was also with increased content

The C7 could increase its price because it was already a screaming bargain compared to its next "closest" rival, the 911.

The Camaro is already thousands more than a "similarly" performing Mustang (yes, I know the Camaro is better optioned).

I'm betting that unless Ford increases the cost of the Mustang, GM will hold.

I hope not its already 45k minimum for a automatic 2SS with no extra features. Counting in the $955 destination charge as well.

For the "ZL1 experience/feel" with a fully loaded 2SS your paying more than the price of a brand new 2015 ZL1 . I guess you would hope for a ZL1 feel if your paying more than what a new one costs?

C7 came out the fall of 2013 and I ordered mine first of April 2014 and the prices were raised the 3rd week of April by about $1000. I just ordered mine in time to save that $1000 so Camaro could easily get raised at any time during the first year also.

Oh they will raise the price. It will be about 4 increases before the model yr end. 110-200 or so at a time. They do the same thing with the trucks. Price one now online and then in June. It will be 300-400 dollars higher.
