Car Covers
I just bought my first Camaro (2014 Coupe 2LT) and was wanting to purchase a car cover for it. Any recommendations? I was checking out www.carcovers.com and they seemed to have a pretty decent "Platinum Shield" cover. Anyone have any suggestions for me? Thanks in advance!

Car covers are only for long term storage, not for daily use. Using one WILL scratch and ruin the paint. If you care about your car, you won't use one. Even the softest, "Platinum Series" traps dust and rubs it against your car. You wouldn't rub sandpaper on your car now would you? Cause that is what you are doing every time you put on and take off a cover.

Depends on how and where you are storing the car. Definitely not for daily use.
I have used California Car Covers for a number of cars. They have a variety of styles.

What's the best way to protect the exterior from the elements? I have an appointment at the dealer next week to apply the "Zurich Shield" which is an exterior protection application, but not sure how good of a product that is. |

I use the Noah by covercraft. It is an outdoor cover, however I use it in my garage. I could imagine dust getting blown underneath we any cover however. Look into renting a garage maybe?

I only cover my 68 firebird it rarely gets drove, and I always get help covering it, sits inside only. I would be afraid to keep it covered outside to much wind and dust might act like sandpaper

I have the Noah cover. No issues with it or my paint after a few weeks but I see your point. I don't own a garage and only take my SS out on the weekends. |

Another vote for California car covers. Whatever you do, don't waste money on the cover Chevrolet sells for the Camaro ( I can sell you one of those real cheap if you do want to though).
