Bought mine used, never had an issue with the gauge popping out of the pod, but I can't read mine (blue) with polarized sunglasses on! Sucks when I'm driving during the day....

I bought the dual kit that I installed in a carbon fiber a pillar pod a few years ago. I got the white color and they are easy to read in direct sunlight.

Yep, with sunglasses it's a bit difficult to read. I inverted the colors so that the background is lighter and data display is darker, which helped some.

I can read the values okay, but do have difficulty reading the description (e.g. A/F Ratio) for each. Text font could be slightly larger. However, like Hammdo told me, I'll get used to it over time. I setup and ran w/ cyclic scan and am already starting starting to memorize the sequence and location (top or bottom) for the read outs.

Yes, the gauge pod angle seems improved. It doesn't make any contact with my dashboard.

[QUOTE=mlee;9980479]I've heard that POD pops out at the mount sometimes. Interested to see how solid it is in that respect.

Pod is nice and snug. I had to pull it out and it took some effort.. I was afraid I was going to break it so had to use a screwdriver to help pop it out.

As long as it’s not like this one. Sticking up in the air!

yes, like that. not sure what angle you'd prefer, but I like it being fairly upright.

Hmm.. I can't tell that much of a difference. Anyway, hopefully you'll be happier with the new pods.

Am loving these gauges and learning about the data they provide.

Edit: I looked again and see what you mean about sticking straight up. Mine leans more to the right, but makes zero contact with dash.

That is the one to go with (closer to the dash), less likely to obscure the view...
