Of course they want to sell as many as possible but not selling more than "fleet inflated" sales of Mustangs isn't the only determining factor of that. What I really want to see is if Ford raises the bar and ups the performance, quality and technology of the next Mustang and if they do, you bet that their prices are going up. And then what? |

I hear what your saying and I wouldn't be surprised at all if sales are down compared to the last couple of years, I just don't think that automatically means that the Camaro is over priced. It's not. I think reviews have pretty much showed across the board that it is a very good value for what you are getting. I guess the question should be changed to "Is the Camaro too overpriced to be the leading selling sports car as of today". Then the answer is probably yes. There, now this never dying thread can be closed. |

Hey guys obviously when you break down the value you get, the price is justified.
But if you just want a badass car and want the V8, you have to admit the price is higher than someone would expect if they didnt know the value of the car. I went in to test drive a 2SS and its window sticker was 53k beforw the freight other taxes plus our 13% tax bringing the car over the 60k mark. Now to buy a fully loaded SS back in 2010 was about cheaper. Keep in mind I am using Canadian prices and am assuming the price jumps are similar down in the states. The point is the price is high....but what is more true is that all prices for any car is now high. Scatpak charger is 56k F150 lariat is 68k So when I thought the price was high, I looked at different options for me since I already have a Camaro and found that all prices have gone up and sure one can say inflation but I dont believe that accounts for the entire difference. Im sure its due to whats included in these vehicles now but one can not say that50-60k is attainable to all. Sure there is a v6 option and 4 cyl option for those who want to spent 10k less but I remember the days where I could find Mustang GTs for 35k and now theyre in the mid 40s In the end its a buyers choice to see the value in which car
