Extraordinarily high indeed. Always has been for the Mustang.

Mustang percentage of sales as fleet cars
2013: 23%
2012: 24%
2011: 21%
2010: 21%
2009: 20%

Camaro percentage of sales as fleet cars
2013: 11%
2012: 13%
2011: 9%
2010: 7%
2009: 14%

Rentals are not 1/3 of the fleet pie. In 2013 rentals represented 2,037,376 out of 3,046,971 fleet sales (67%).

Five reasons for this

1. The new Stang is a hit
2. Some Camaro buyers are holding out for 2016
3. The Challenger got a refresh
4. Ford dealers have their largest selection of Mustangs that I have seen in atleast 3 years.
5. The Camaro is dated

Going into Spring with about 25000 unsold new Camaros,
including approx. 2000 2014s of various types.

Not a bad place to be, but could be a heckuva lot better.

The biggest reasons to me is:

1. Ford advertise the heck out of , basically force them in your face.

2. 4 cylinder ( OMG ) better gas .

3. The mustang is everyone's poor man Aston Martin .

I mean who don't want an Aston Martin ?lol..
Better go get one a Ford Aston Martin.

So unpopular opinion here but I really like the look of the new fastback mustang!!!! Always catches my eye instantly whenever Im on the road.... none the less I wouldn't trade in my Camaro.... 82,00 miles and still happy.
If I had the extra money then I wouldn't mind having a pony on the side.

Hah ...I saw a black one dropped with some wide wheels and it looked alot better. The 15 needs mods, but this one looked awesome.

Where are all these new Mustangs?
Seen a total of 1 on the road so far.

At any given day on my way to work I meet/pass 15+ Camaros.

They are around. Seen a few lately. Saw a red one earlier at an auto carwash...

I'm with you. I don't like the looks of the new Mustang at all. Someone said it looks like a largemouth bass and ever since then that's all I see when I look at one.

You forgot one reason why Ford sells so many of them -

Ford will finance ANYONE. I've got a friend who has a credit score of about 300 and he gets a new Ford every two years. Young guys with no credit can go get financed and drive off in a new Mustang.

Uh, oh! Sooooo your going to buy a 15 GT? But the 15 looks plain and nothing sticks out in black especially not the grill. Wish I could've seen the car because I know you have a soft spot sorta for them . Lol..... J/k

I like the back of the 16 Mustang but the front is nothing special and it feels like its just off. Maybe cuz of the headlights are just ugly.
