I was thinking that too, sort of. The next camaro will be a Gen 6, so the 2014 changes will hopefully make the Gen6 a huge improvement in styling. The 2014 styling has been dumbed down.

I googled "69 Camaro images" and scrolled down, looking for pictures of the rear end of the cars. I can see and appreciate the inspiration for the new tail light design. Modern but still relatable to the iconic '69 Camaros.
I really like the look of the new Z/28. I think the new front and rear designs look a little wider and less tall, giving the refreshed 5th gen Camaro SS a more cohesive overall appearance. I do think the SS front end looks much better than the V6. |

I agree with the one person above that the new Stingray had Camaro's taillights. So that point is now moot.
The 2014 isn't the original 5th gen, but it is still a 5th, and with everyone wondering how their cars may one day appreciate, these 2014's and until the 6th Gen may be the collectible ones, just by sheer numbers, or lack of. Time will tell. Peace out. |
