I've been to about 6 dealers in CT negotiating the best deal I could get on an ordered 1SS 1LE, and the best deal I could get is $1500 off MSRP - 3%. When I told them I was seeing dealers in VA and other states offering incentives of $4000 and more, they said that I would not be eligible for those discounts if I was registering the car in CT. I checked with a VA dealer over the phone and the information was correct. So bottom line, many of the incentives depend on your zip code.
As far as discounts for cars sitting on the lot in CT, I did not see any difference. One dealer showed me the invoice sheet and it looks like they cannot discount below $1500 or so unless there are factory incentives or holdbacks.
