My Welds are probably 2.5 weeks out on delivery but I talked to Weld Racing twice and they insist this 17" wheel will fit the 2017 ZL1 Camaro. I'll find out but not soon enough.

I kept my 17" Welds from 2013 ZL1. I was told the rears would be fine. Maybe Mlee can chime in shortly, he kept his weld setup also.

Are the race stars the right offset and back spacing?

That RPM ZL1 that ran on spray was rumored to be wearing 17's.

Yes they are and I am running 17" all the way around on my car. You can call em and they have all the tech data.

Wow! A picture is worth a thousand words, or in this case maybe a thousand dollars. It didn't seem possible to fit 17's even on the rear but absolutely no chance of 17's fitting on the front. Even 18's seemed sketchy to me. They must be built with really big "pad height" (very shallow rim). Thanks for sharing the photo! I can barely see daylight between the top edge of the calliper and wheel.

My 18x12's should be here soon. They're being made in Europe so lead time is a month or more.

Wait... Are you driving a ZL1 or SS? Your profile says SS. Are the photos from a ZL1? There's a big difference in rotor/calliper size between the two. Please clarify because I'd hate for someone to buy these and find they don't fit.

Based on ZL1_Tommy's post, I'm inclined to believe since I know he's driving one and regularly uploads videos of it. I just want to keep it real...

The pic is my SS but when I spoke with Race Star they said they would fit ZL1. There is plenty of space between caliper and wheel.

zl1_tommy's is the most credible post in this thread because it's based on first-hand knowledge and actual usage.

At first glance this seems to be saying (In the ZL1 Discussion group) that you know they are the right size for the 6th Gen ZL1. The photo should be clearly entitled something like "Race Star Wheels installed on 6th Gen SS". The brake sizes are vastly different. If they do fit the 6th Gen ZL1, I don't think you could characterise the remaining clearance as "plenty". If you re-state claims by someone else you should identify that vendor, making clear that's where the info originates.

I appreciate that you're trying to help but I think it's important to make things clear. Race Star could very well have been talking about the 5th Gen as "Can'tHave2MuchHP" mentioned below.

I got an email today that said my wheels are due to ship 05/03/2017. Mine are made in the USA and are running about 9 weeks for delivery according to the guy I talked to at Weld Racing. I ordered mine March 15th so my experience is better than the 9 weeks he mentioned while on the phone today. I'll post fitment results when I get them.

Pictures would be great when you get them put on. Maybe you could get a measurement at the closest point to the calliper too. Hope they work out for you.
