$20 to the first member that can tell me where this part goes

I like a good challenge but I give up. Took the trunk and rear passenger side interior panels off a couple months ago and forgot where this came from. Tore everything back apart tonight to try to find its home. Must answer correctly, putting it in the garbage is not what I’m looking for yet. Funds sent via PayPal. Thanks in advance.

The hole where the red power cable is going through the back seat? Or it fits in the trunk storage compartment somehow were my two thoughts. Why'd you tear it apart, what's the project?

I haven’t thought about the battery cable running through it, but I think I would remember that. I’ll look in the morning and see it that’s a possibility. Car was on fire and battery cable was cut, had to take out the passenger side seat and trim to replace it.

Sound deadener? Vertically under the quarter side window. The curved concave corner looks like it mimics the curve of the wheelhouse in the bottom aft corner. Hole is for the electrical pigtail.

It almost looks like a piece that would cover the spare tire if one was included.

Interesting how the first 2 pics show a black intake, but the 3rd has the SS intake and the 4th is an SS with a ZL1 hood and front end... So, the grey part of the SS intake is just a cover?

I ask because I have a ZL1, not an SS.

I believe he bought a wrecked SS and replaced the front end with ZL1 body parts.

Did you by any chance take out either of the front seats or carpets? When I did sound deadening a couple of months ago, I remember that there are very similar looking panels under the carpet on both passenger and driver's sides just in front of the front seats.

Also, car is looking great.

Yes, the grey is a cover. The black is an insulator over the plastic or “composite” intake - similar to a hood or fender liner.

I'll play...

The first pic is an access panel to your battery....The second goes between that panel and the battery. Good luck.

It's one piece. He's showing the back and front of the same piece.
The battery access panel is just a thin molded piece, it doesn't have any foam structure to it, IIRC.

Perhaps it is one piece. You can see the indentations in the foam piece that match the bracket on the side of the battery.
