What's the outcome?

Know it's a v8 but I've done research and it doesn't look too impressive for a car with two extra cylinders. Its pretty heavy just like our cars. The kid is talking mad crap to me on my local car forum and I think I could give him a run...idk

he also said he'd give me 2 cars. It's not a GT or GXP...just a "bone stock" G8.

If he was modded, no competition. I have had full bolt on tuned G8's walk all over me.... Stock. Ehh, if you think you can beat a stock Challenger R/T... same speed as stock g8.

-You may beat him up to a certain speed, but eventually..... His car will beat you no doubt. He has more hp and considerable more torque, it also only weighs the same as your car with a dead body in the back to give you an example.

Not all G8 cars have a v8. I thought only the GT and GXP models had the v8. If you are driving against the v6 model, then this is no contest.

Yeah true, then again.... 90% of the G8's I have ever seen have been GT's. No one bought the V6 version.

the V6 will not take the challenger R/T. my brother has one and with my full bolt ons and E85 he would walk all over me in a straight line. anything with a turn in it is another story. its a numbers game and they win. not sure about your G8 buddy though. be safe.

I don't know of to many heavily modified V6 G8's on the G8 forums. There is one G8 who has RotoFab, Mace Plenum spacer, Glass Packs, X pipe, muffler delete, headers, G8 GT LSD and a Mace Engineering/Trifecta tune. Not sure what his current numbers are, but he made 213 rwhp with just the RotoFab.

If the guy talking trash is stock, I'll definitely give you the win. Especially since the V6 in the Camaro is Direct Injection with 300hp versus Port Fuel Injection in the G8 with 256hp. I rode in one V6 G8 and was less than impressed, not sure why it was even produced. Good luck and be safe!

I had a v6 G8 a while ago....stock for stock, the camaro v6 had the same engine as the g8 v6 put tuned different and direct injection. If you're modded, you can probably take the g8 V8. Stock....no way. Here was my G8 v6...heavily modded. Rotofab intake, catback, pulleys, RPM tune, coilovers...etc.

He said he was running a base G8, not a GT or GXP. What kind of power did you make on your V6 with your modifications?

Oh....I thought he was talking about running a GT. If he runs a base, he'd smash it even stock. After mods, I made around 235 whp on dynojet....not a lot for a 3900lb car. Still ran about a 9.8 1/8th mile....never ran a quarter mile with it.

I think you need to clarify if its a regular V6 G8 or a G8GT with the 6.0L, V8 engine.

You say it has a V8 engine?

V6 G8 and its the V6 Camaro for the win.
V8 G8GT and its the G8GT for the win.

Well all I know is it's a stock G8 lol he's quite the trickster so it's hard to believe anything he says. I guess it's a GT then if they don't have a base V8 model. It's not a GXP though. I thought they made the G6 for v6? I don't know much about them if we all can't tell. I just looked on their fast list and it didn't look too impressive...I do like the cars though.

a stock G8 GT will run anywhere from a 13.5-13.8 If he has a V8 its a GT or a GXP. If you can actually hear the exhaust he's probably not stock either. We can help you get out in front on him if you like.

I must have been looking somewhere wrong? On the g8 forum the 9th fastest one with intake and tune ran like a 13..8 or 9? Not arguing you could be right. Just confused.
