L99 vs 67 Camaro w/ a 350

My buddy thinks he will take me in his 67. He is a manual against my L99.

Who wins in a 1/4?

Hmmmm I know you outweigh him by quite a bit but still, it seems to me that you should be able to spank him.

He said something about an Edlebrock, but we were drunk and he doesn't know much about cars, so I couldn't get much outta him

It's not going to be a stock 350 in a 67.

You sure the SS didn't come with a 350?

Found out a little more about his car. He said its a crate 350 (still stock specs) w/ 350 headers and a flow master and 4.10 gears out back.

I'm still thinking I should walk him. Is there any way he takes me?

You should rip him a new one.

(SS350) 350/295: 1/4 mile in 15.4 seconds @ 90 mph.
(SS396) 396/325bhp: 0-60 in 6.0 sec, 1/4 mile in 14.5 sec @ 99mph.

People don't realize that 99% of "Musclecars" from the 60's-70's from all the manufacturers were really slow compared to today. Ask him to race a Camry, should be a better match up. A 12 Camry V6 runs 14.1.

Keep it on the track and have fun!

That's kinda what I was thinking. I am only 23, but I thought that the older muscle cars were more show and no go compared to modern muscle.

And it will be done at the track. He's a cop. I should have results next weekend.
