Can you buckle it and then just sit in the seat?

This may help change your mind. I've seen the effects of not wearing seat belts too many times.
It just isnt worth it. It literally takes seconds to put on and take off. Im in and out of my truck dozens of times a day. It adds no inconvenience at all to my day. Last edited by motorhead; 01-21-2018 at 10:27 PM. |

Wear it. Not trying to be a smart ass. And I know you already know about that option. I just want to take the opportunity to push you further in that direction. Please just wear it.

I want to disable it too, not because I don't wear a seatbelt, but because I want to add an amp and that thing is already loud as hell when just moving the car in the driveway lol.

Using those false seatbelt clips will not only silence your seatbelt chime but since everything goes through the ECM it tells your car the seatbelt is still on when you open and close the driver's door. Who knows how that will confuse door sensing.
Just put on the goddamned seat belt or deal with the chimes. People who ask this on a forum deserve all the hate and flame they get. |

Please wear your seatbelt. Even a short errand run can end tragically without notice. |

Only time we use those cheaters to cut the chime is in our trucks while tooling around the ranch & hunting. You really gotta love it for that application & belts aren't needed or required.
If you are on any tax payer roads you shouldn't be asking...high volume errands & strapping a belt on a gen 6 may be a top 5 first world complaint |
