You want quicker throttle response?
You ant to keep your warranty? Get a high flow downpipe from ZZP for like $200. Their intake tube helps a lot as well. then yank your muffler off, put a small sound deadening pad under your trunk and spray some sound deadening behind your wheel well liners if you do any long-distance highway driving. Warranty still intact. Actually making more power across a wider band. Sounding better. Winning. |

Luckily, you bought the M6 like myself. That means we don't have the dreaded TCM (Transmission Control Module) basically detunes your car if it detects that you are making more torque than GM wants you to. Take dyno number with a grain of salt, because there are so many variables, but on the STOCK tune, my car dyno'd 280whp/310tq. I had an Injen intake, catless downpipe, charge pipes and throttle body, and a muffler delete. But most importantly, I had all of the stock parts, in case something happened. Just toss them back on, take it to the dealer, and they will know none the wiser. Again, numbers vary, but most 2.0s I'm seeing are dynoing around the 240-250whp mark. So my driving experience on the STOCK untouched tune was much more enjoyable. I now own HP Tuners, and am tuned. But, out of curiosity, I decided to swap back in my swap tune to datalog and see if the car was having issues on the stock tune with all of the mods. Nothing was too crazy. Ran about 0.5-1 lower AFR, so a little rich, and absolutely no knock. I drove the car like that for about 10,000 miles before the tune. No issues whatsoever. Mod it, enjoy it, keep the warranty. Use the money for the controller on a downpipe. Hopefully this helps.
Also, cool to see that you are in Mena. I drive through there at least once a month to go home. I'm from Fort Smith.

Not looking forward to the TCM Tuning process it's always tricky to trick the computers into making more power and not react to stock parameters.
