I think the dealer accomplished a lot......got a response and certainly got our attention. Speculation is exactly as defined. If ya aren't in the inner circle, then enjoy what you have and quit worrying about cars. Remember, unveiling is supposed to stimulate speculation and speculation anticipation, I would say they got it down pretty good. Hey, what difference does it make, what it is it is.....wait for it......wait for it...

And where does this "younger generation" come up with 70k?

Yup, as others have said - the dealers are usually the last in the line to learn about the real stats of the Camaro. Unless the salesman or dealership has an "in" with someone in the product development for the vehicle (which to me is unlikely in Kansas - more likely in the metro Detroit area around the GM World Headquarters and GM Technical Center). That said - there's still enough time for anything currently planned for the 6th gen to change.

If the designer brought me the schemantic to build that car. I would beat him with a

He told me he couldn't tell me exactly what it looked like but that it would appeal more to the "younger generation

Yupper I phoned 3 dealers when I was looking for my ZL1 they knew less than nothing.ZL1 whats dat? They didnt even bother to call me back.

I see a gen 6 keeping a similiar look to the Gen 5 but be 800 to 1000 lbs lighter with same engine options to start with, that being the V6, LS3 and LSA. Just a guess however.

You are joking right 800 to 1000lbs lighter ? maybe if its made out of titanium and carbonfiber Al is already saying its going to be tough to lighten it up much

We've sold over 7 ZL1s and 2 of the HPE700 ZL1s just like the one's in the video of Hennessey running the Texas Toll roads. We are also a Callaway Authorized dealer. I am one of the Corvette/Camaro specialists here. I dont know JACK SH*T about a 6th gen, other than they will be built in Michigan! Please close this thread...it made me dumber!

He also said some of the models will be a v8 that produces 385 horsepower, and then a twin turbo v6 that will produce 600 horsepower and will be in the low $70,000 range. Thought it was pretty cool so thought I'd share. I don't know if any of this is true, it is just what I was told.
