I've been bitten by the lambo-bug!

Lately, I've had an unhealthy obsession with Lamborghini's and am closer on making it my next life goal (I'm the type of person who makes up his mind and is hell-bent on it)

They're just so beautiful, and exotic, and downright dirty.

Fellow Camaro-nians, help me get over this illness!

Convince me that a $100,000 super car is just not worth it...

Wouldn't try to talk you out of it.....if a Lamborghini is what you really want, your goal should be to get one. The only person your responsible to make happy is you......

Only problem I have with a car being so high in value is that I'd never be able (or want) to work on it myself. That's a lot of the fun for me is doing the mods myself.

Not only do you have to afford the original cost, the maintenance costs are a lot higher too. Having said that, they're bada** cars and if that's what you want, go for it!

Hi bansheekilla, I know quite a bit on this subject my neighbor owns a white 05 gallardo. You can easily pick up a used Gallardo for sub 100k in excellent condition or a less pristine example can be had for 80 anything less and you will have to plop down a bunch of money to get it into shape. These cars are bulletproof as long as you do your schedules maintenance. You can save A TON of money on maintenance if you stick with Audi R8 parts (ie. shocks and sorts) since they are near identical to Gallardo. Hope this helps! And remember if you can find a manual one grab it no matter what!

Still paying $250000 car maintenance. I'd rather have a GTR with the Alpha 12 upgrade on it

Actually gallardos are very inexpensive to maintain its very similiar to owning a german car. Most expensive thing that has to be changed is the clutch with throwout bearing for around 6k. Clutch will last around 25 miles if driven easy. Oil change and basic maintenance you can do by yourself in a garage.

And at the end of the day you cant compare a nissan with a lamborghini.

Dang! How long will it last if you drive it like a supercar...3 miles? $6K every 25 miles will add up quickly.

I've read that GTR clutch replacements are insanely expensive. Way more than 6k if that really is what the lambo clutch costs. I don't think I would want either tho. I'll take a new Z06 instead. For me Lambos are in the same category as Porsche and BMW... they just scream d-bag. No offense OP.
