Dexos 2 mobil 1 is hard to find. Valvoline 5w40 dexos 2 is at Napa and still might be on sale.

Couple reasons. 1 - Running Dexos 2 oil is overkill for daily driving, plus it sounds like it can be bad for our catalytic converters. If you're referring to the 5w30 ESP formula, that's really meant for diesel engines as it is sensitive to particulate filters. 2 - It's not particularly easy to find, I'm currently running Pennzoil Platinum Euro L 5w30 which is dexos2 which is readily available at walmart, but that's about the only one you can find normally, and then again, refer to point 1. I'll be switching to the standard Mobil 1 5w-30 with the dexos 1 cert at my next oil change, partly because it's been found by multiple places to have some pretty stellar test results, ie - http://www.bestsyntheticoilfilter.com/5w30-oil-reviews/

And for those wanting a 40 weight oil for "the heat" of daily driving, the cooling systems in our cars are so excellent, that they have 0 trouble keeping oil temps in check. I pretty much never see temps get over 230 degrees even when ambient temps are 120 and I'm sitting there over the hot pavement, or after a lot of highway driving.

I will be running Mobil 1 15w-50 at track events. It's what we put in the Audi R8 LMS race cars with what are literally off the production line OEM street engines, plus a few other cars in PWC run the same exact oil, and it's mentioned in the manual as acceptable for track weekends. I'm in Arizona where track days regularly get up into the 90's with track temps up over 130 degrees, the thicker oil is always going to help in those kind of conditions. But still, our cooling system is phenomenal, where my track buddies with their fully built track cars are over heating and going into limp mode, I can sit in the staging lane with my AC on and then go romp on the car with no issue which is kind of amazing and I salute the GM engineers who designed it.

FYI The Mobil 113 filter is identical to the AC 48 UPR and a lot cheaper

What is the UPF64R? Is that the Delco PN? I thought it was PF64 or something? I used the Mobil 1 filters on my LS3 powered Chevelle.

Uprated version of the PF64. I haven't seen anyone have problems with the OEM filter TBH.

Can you find that new version filter at the store or online Only? Assuming the PF64 is still good to use?

Delco "R" filters are always black instead of blue.

The PF64 is what the dealer uses and should be fine. You can get the M1-113A at Walmart.
