Protect your paint from your power washer wand!

Do you worry about hitting your paint with your pressure washer wand? Here's a tip:

Pipe insulation from any big box store.

My solution, although considerably more expensive, was to replace the wand with a gun.

Yes I have looked at those. They run about $100.

Yep me to. I replaced mine with the MTM SGS-28 gun. It has a swivel where the hose connects and makes using it so much better because you don't have to deal with the hose binding up.

The one I bought was $28 not including hose fittings from Amazon.

I’ve been using the short gun for awhile now. Love it. I been using the Mosmatic 5000PSI High Pressure Gun w/ Stainless Steel Integrated swivel and it’s the best pressure washer gun I’ve ever used.

I purchased some fittings on Amazon and converted my wand to make it shorter.

This works well for me and it was only $18.00.

make sure those tips are locked in! i went from foam cannon to regular tip to rinse the car and didn't check that it was locked in all the way in and shot the thing at warp speed into my fender.

put the smallest of dents in a spot that is lowest enough to not see unless pointed out but man did i beat myself up over that one.....

I did the same thing and thankfully shot it directly over the hood
