1LE rims - coating protection?

Anyone coat their rims with the Adams wheel coating?

I put the chemical guys wax on my wheels but haven't driven it that much to see if it works as advertised.

I used the Chemical Guys max wheel coat and it’s GREAT! Easy on Easy off and has significantly reduced the amount of cling I get from the break dust, I don’t daily drive my 1LE and it sits in the garage but it’s been 3 weeks since my last wash and roughly 150miles if spirited driving and my wheels still look clean before they would get a matted appearance from the brake dust.

A much better option than any coating is kill the source - change the pads to a brand like power stop that stops the dust. Then any simple spray wax or spray coating will keep them in shape. See the link in my sig for the easiest and most effective way I’ve found to keep them nice.....This is obviously for a car that is not tracked and a DD.

And you're going to get exactly the same braking performance, lap after lap, as a "dusty" pad?

I have no plans on changing out the brake pads yet. Car only has 3 miles. I have the Adams tire coating kit just was wondering if anyone used it on the 1LE wheels.

I'm planning to ceramic coat mine with Opticoat so we'll see how that works.

Those pads will hold up about as well on a track day as your suggested non temperature rated spray wax suggestion. Terrible advice.

Personally, I use the Gtechniq Wheel Coatimg and have on many cars. I find it works well.

Did mine about 4 months ago. Best decision ever... I was getting frustrated with how easy the brake dust accumulated on this car. Now i can keep the oem brake pads and have the advantage easy cleaning. If you wash your car frequently you dont even have to touch your wheels. Pressured water and done

And I was expecting you to go off on me! I don't care, just giving you a hard time. Glad you seem to have a sense of humor!
