I took my car into the dealer to look at a couple things - the torque converter shutter, and the NPP rattle noise.
They flushed the trans fluid, and that seems to have corrected the shutter, I have not felt it since they flushed it out, which is awesome. The NPP rattle is still there. It actually got worse. I am taking it back tomorrow to get looked at again. Will they eventually tell me "this is it, deal with it", or do you think they will replace the defective parts? |

There's a "fix" for the rattle, they glue a loose bushing on the butterfly valve. You will probably have to fight for a new muffler.

Thank you for the reply. They did the glue according to the service bulletin. That didnt fix, or if it did, it didnt last long.

Pulling a fuse won't work.
The glue works for a few months My valves also squeak when they close...like everytime you clutch in when slowing down...awesome. We are S O L.

Got my car back yesterday. They put a new muffler on it, rattle gone!
