U don't want the additional mass that most rockers add.
We use shaft mount adjustable rockers on our low lash solid roller stuff. Not too heavy on the valve tip, and ultra durable. |

Thanks for all the responses ! Appreciate it. Think I'll wait on them , as my car is a weekend toy for five months of the year. Hasn't see a track yet although I'd like to

I've actually seen more failed aftermarket trunions than stock.
Rough example Gm makes 100000 rockers and have 75 fail, comp makes 1000 trunions and have 50 fail. Which one is really more problematic? It's easy to blame gm for substandard parts but when you consider how many more parts they produce than the aftermarket, their failure rate isn't high at all. Even on the ole ls3 oil pumps. |

I've seen 2-3 failed stock rocker arms, and 2-3 failed trunions. Like Rhino said, considering there are probably 200x more stock rocker arms out there, I would stick with stock.

One thing to keep in mind on failed trunions is the fact that the consumer has to assemble them.

The trunnion upgrade is stupid easy with a small press and some snap ring pliers. Doesn't take long at all. If your car is low mileage, then maybe you could skip it, I did the first time. I put my second cam in between 80-90K miles (after collapsed lifter), so I did the trunnion upgrade then. I was like - that's it? - so easy...
