Thought I had headr everything at a Car Show?
We were at a car show a couple weeks ago. We took our Hot Wheels Camaro, the owner of the dealership is a friend of ours and has been for 30 plus years. We were sitting by the car enjoying a beverage and talking with people. A young couple walked up and started looking at the car. The guy was walking around the car telling the girl all about the car, how it was a made up car, not real, a car like this was never made and how poorly the attempt to make it was done. He told her Hot Wheels (assuming he meant Mattel) would sue my a$$ off if they seen this travesty. He took several pictures and told her he would send them to Mattel and I would be in big trouble for using their name. He photographed my license plate as well. I didn't say a word to him, ignorant people like him should be ignored. Just then his friend came along and they had the same discussion about the car. They walked off to look at other cars. The girl stayed behind. She came over and began a conversation with us. She asked about the car and said she loved it and apologized for her boyfriends rudeness. She wanted to know everything about the car. We showed her all the documentation, window sticker, build sheet, numerous magazine articles, pictures of the car as used at Indy, and what really blew her away was the photos we showed her of the car on display in the lobby at Mattel in El Segundo CA. They had our car on display for 2 months. We have some small Hot Wheels of the car, we give them to kids who show interest in the car. Since she was very sweet and really interested in the car and she was soaking up information about the car we gave her one, she was actually more excited than some of the kids. She sat in the car and we took some pictures of her with here camera. She wandered off after a half an hour or so, we didn't expect to see her again. About an hour later she came back with her soon to be ex-fiancee. She asked him to tell her about the car again, he said he wouldn't waste his time. She told him that was okay she would tell him about the car. She started to tell him about the car and did so for about 10 minutes, he was wide eyed and never said a word. She went over the documentation with him and asked him to explain why he had lied to her about the car. Why he claimed to know everything about the car when in fact he knew absolutely nothing about the car. By this time she was on a roll and she was furious, the guys buddy walked off he wanted no part of her wrath, all he said was "I never said anything about the car I actually like it". She went on to tell him about other lies he was telling her that she knew about and it got ugly. She threw a ring in his face and told him to drop dead, and she wouldn't marry him if he were the last SOB on Earth. Ergo ex-fiancée.
 I though I had seen and heard most everything at car shows but I guess not!
