Same here. It is a tough call between the 1st gen and 5th gen, but no doubt when factoring in handling, power, and ergonomics...the 5th gen Camaros are the best Camaros ever built imo. Dont get me wrong... I owned four 4th gen Camaros and loved them all.

Gotta go with the '67-'68, specifically a RS (RS/SS) with the all-black grille and all-red tail lights. I remember when the Lexus SC300-400's came out. They made a big deal about the fluid lines of the car coming from blowing air into canvas inside a wire frame of the cars lines. Well folks guess how they designed the sleek, smooth panels on the '67-'68's! To me the design is so sleek and timeless, it just boggles my mind to think that that design is 50 years old! Look at other '67's (well other than Impala's 'cause they have great looks also!), like a '67 Mustang, the busy lines, shapes, and do-dads hung on the car tend to "date" the car as to being from an earlier time frame. The '67-'68 Camaro is just so fluid and sleek to me it still has a fairly modern look, other than chrome bumpers and such. Hard to say how the 5th gen will be viewed in almost 50 years, but one thing for sure, I won't be around to do it unless I live to be 100!
What a beauty!!! |

1st is a close winner but the 5th gen is drop dead sexy. I know some love them but for me the 4th gens were really not good.

It may not have been the most powerful Camaro ever built but I'm still in love with my '79 Z28. I wish I still had it. Sold it to my sister when I joined the AF.
