New to the forums/ build questions
Hey guys I'm a newbie here and to the LS game! I recently bought an Inferno 2010 Camaro SS L99/Auto with 17K miles. Clean car so I decided it was a great platform for a street/strip car. Right now I have installed a Procharger, K&N intake, fuel injectors, JBA Cat Delete into a X Pipe, and a resonator delete. Had a dyno tune and it came out great, around 589HP and 535TQ! So my question is if I decided to go with a cam build do I need to build my transmission as well?
Thank you guys for all your help! |

CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

I would think with the addition of the pro charger you had better do upgrades to the suspension as well as having a higher rpm stall converter of course if you do a cam. And doing a cam would be the perfect time to get rid of if you already have not the AFM lifters and go VVT cam or what ever. And you can check out transmissions at various vendors sites that show the parts replaced you may want to have installed in your transmission by just searching the Net. I would recommend new trailing arms and toes with poly bushings, a LPW differential cover, cradle and diff bushings in poly eventually, and try not to hurt the rear axles. BMR is a good company many of us use.
