I picked up a 2SS Fifty for about 12% off the sticker of 50230. Thought I got a good deal, but looking at this I am starting to think maybe not so good lol.

If you haven't seen the paperwork and the trade in, you just don't know. I thought I paid too much, but something happened and the dealer wound up powder coating my wheels, so you never know.

It was Stonebriar Chevrolet in Frisco, Tx. I purchased the Camero in Oct of 16 during the big TAG push. Actually, I purchased the Vette and the Camero from them. Got a great deal both times. Oh course it goes without saying that I found them more than fair to deal with and reasonable on the transaction. Its always great to have a win win ..... when You both are happy with the deal.

Its a little simpler if you don't have a trade but loans, doc fees, and warranty stuff are all profit centers for the dealership. |

You can't really compare % off from last year's October-December time frame to now. That time folks got anywhere from 20% to 30% off because of the Chevy bonus tags and the dealer incentives on top of that. What you are seeing now is the usual % off that most dealers do.

Were the tags only on 16 leftovers or did it include 17s

I wouldn't touch anything below 20% off MSRP. Be patient.

Only 16s... you may see same tag in fall for 17s when dealer lots have 18s sitting idle.

20% and the dealership didn't even look at my 5th gen in person before they gave me KKB trade-in value. I'm sure my credit rating played a big part in that but I was still surprised.
Alot of people pointed to the severe winter of last year as the reason behind the AWD and 4WD sales trend so I'm interested to see how this freakishly warm winter affects things. I personally buy what I want and would never invest in a AWD just because it was a hit in 2016. |
