"BLACK PACKAGE" info?

I saw mention of and one picture of a Garnett Red with what GM is calling the "Black Package". I noticed it had the Dovetail spoiler that we ALL seem to like better. So far as Ive been hearing, that spoiler is not availalbe on the SS. Does anyone know if this package WILL be available on the SS? I couldnt find any info. I would assume it comes with the smoked tails, as well. Would be the perfect look!

I'm finding the more I try to build a Camaro the more limits I find. I want this, but it changes this is an example. Lots of limits right now.

Yes. The builder is very spartan right now. Im just really curious about this package. I LOVED the 1LEs in white. Love the contrast with black accents. Hoping I can mod a Gen6 like this.

Most of the accessories will be dealer adds and not things done when the car is built. Overall we do not have details or any mentions of a Black Package. I would love for the option of a black spoiler or the dovetail. But as of now it looks like that dovetail is LT based only.

The black package, like the GFX and dovetail spoiler, won't be available for order at launch. They're coming later this year, but it's a dealer-installed option, so it can be added to a car later on. The following are blacked out:

Front grill (LT normally has lots of chrome in front, but this package blacks it out.)
Chevy bowtie emblems
Sideview mirrors
Spoiler
Ground effects kit (likely included)
Rims
Rim center caps

The black package is on the front cover of the accessories guide. Unfortunately, it looks like there are no blacked out tail lights. No idea if this will be available on the SS -- it would suck if not, because it would just add fodder to those who say the LT kills the SS in terms of looks. The dovetail is unfortunately not going to be available on the SS either in all likelihood -- GM is being kind of strict about anything that can affect its bottom-line performance.

This is a bunch of black parts. 1LE is a performance package.

The 1le also has black components but not as many (wheels, spoilers)

You can add black wheels on the 6th gen but I have not seen options for a black spoiler, center caps (without the red SS logo), or side mirrors

I also assume a 6th gen SS with magnetic ride should be close to the performance of a 1le (the price is)

You can't order a black package with your initial order, but GM looks to be offering parts and pieces you can buy from the dealer.

The current online configurator shows the ground effects int he cars paint color, butt he accessories guide shows it in black.

In all these are all things you need to buy from the dealer.

The blade spoiler is the only thing that looks limiting, but no one knows.

if its a dealer installed option then I don't see why you can't get it for your SS

dealer:oh sorry we are not allowed to sell you this item.its for LT owners only.

OR there might be a problem with tge installation due to the big holes made into the trunk for the standard SS
