I believe the zl11le at the Anderson composite booth at SEMA was running 18x11 18x12 forgeline wheels

That looks like the same clearance as the 19's. The calipers look different unless just painted. So either those are 19's or it's a different caliper and/or rotor up front.

Interesting, not being a physics guy (at all), I wonder which is better for stopping;

Smaller surface area but lighter weight or

Bigger surface area but heavier

The Blue Zl1 1LE was using the 18x11 ET 11 and 18x12 ET 41 GA1R Open Lug.

So Forgeline can produce the Zl1 1LE fitment in 18" but cannot in 19" at the moment because they do not have a deep enough forging to get to a low enough offset.

So currently they cap out at 19x11 ET 18 which means a 7 mm spacer is needed upfront for OEM Zl1 1LE Fitment. They are doing this for a few setups but it is contingent on the client being ok with a spacer.

He is keeping me posted on their development of a deeper forging for the ZL1 1LE Fitment upfront.

A little update for you all, while I have been working with Forgeline for the OEM Zl1 1LE fitment in 19"

I have also been doing some work with BC Forged and we 3d printed a barrel template and have confirmed their 18" application barrels can work for the Zl1 and the Zl1 1lE without any issues.

Also the 19" Modular 2 piece wheels from BC Forged will work on the Zl1 and ZL1 1LE as well.

The factory wheels are flow forged. Not fully forged/forged monoblock. Don't get confused.

Where’s the source on that? I’ve always heard fully forged...

Last summer, I had the first set of BC Forged 18" RZ05(18×11f, 18x11.5r) made to fit on my 2015 Z/28 with OEM CCBs. My expectations were exceeded on many levels.

Firstly was the customer service and communication. It's very comforting to have someone willing to work with you and not give up, unlike several previous calls with engineers at Forgeline and CCW that went nowhere. Dan @BC Forged sent me a 3D printed template to check caliper clearance and the wheels were ordered shortly after.

Secondly was the wheel delivery and execution. Under five weeks from order to door for custom wheels is excellent, especially with points events happening every weekend or two.

Lastly is how well these wheels have held up, not only with competition use but with lots street/highway usage as well. There still is virtually no runout present when on the balancer(way less than the OEM Alcoa Z/28 wheels).

To say I am pleased is a gross understatement, and I look forward to working with BC Forged with a new 2018 ZL1 1LE.
