Loss of interest

I have actually lost interest on the 6gen. There is nothing being released and I am getting impatient. I really want a 6gen but I also really want a zl1 at a smoking deal. Especially if the zl1 is not coming out till 2017+. Arg, I hate this waiting bullsh1t. Do I pull the trigger now on a '15 Zl1 for $50,000 or wait for a full load 2016 SS2 for $53,000ish.

I'd get the 15 and mod the heck out of it. Enjoy the Z and see if you even like the 16 when it comes out. Do we even know if the 16 SS2 is going to have the beefed up Gen5 ZL1 drivetrain?

I would get a fully loaded 2016 2SS. And I certainty hope a fully loaded SS will not clear 50k.

I am also extremely impatient and wish to see a video of the ss or pricing but there should be no way a fully loaded 2ss will be over 50k

Even a '15 SS2 with 1le and recaros hits $51,000 in Canada. So I am assuming with the price inflation of '16 a '16 ss2 will be comparrible. Right now '14-'15 zl1's are going for $50-55. So I am leaning towards a zl1. More power, readily available upgrades. Problem is this is the one time upto date I will be in a financial position to actually by my dream. I don't want to regret my decision when the '16 comes out. I guess I have just been waiting so long and I am impatient. If gm would give me something to bite on hard, I would wait. So far they have me with the looks and weight loss. But with yet another summer going by quick, I want it now!! Lol. Yea yea, I know I am wining like a 12 yr old school girl...but hey, am I wrong to be this excited to own one of the best?

I think the reason you are losing interest is b/c what you really want to do is jump on the ZL1 which you can get now instead of waiting months for the 16. As for me...I'm not losing interest, but I do agree that it has gotten a bit stale around here. Being fed something....anything every few weeks would be nice.

By the way....what do you mean by fully loaded? A 2SS will likely start at 37,000 to 40 grand. By the time you pile more options on that you shouldn't end up past mid to upper 40s.

Now if you check EVERY single option including any stuff out of the norm like large wheels, or factory ground effects, then sure....you'll push over 50K.

Even when the OP is quite clearly Canadian (it even says so in his name!), you seem to think that he pays American prices for things

2015 2SS/RS, manual, sunroof, nav. Canadian MSRP (including freight): $49,775 (minus $5164 from incentives)

Sorry, I didn't look at the location. It also sucks that they have the dealers meeting this week and nobody there has really said anything to the press or this forum.

This is why I hate the long drawn out intros for cars, because it causes the problems that you are having. Having to wait 6 months or more does 1 of 2 things. It either a) hurts sales of the current car or b) causes people to get bored, frustrated, or lose interest before they can actually buy the car. I can't see how either one of those is a good thing. If they had waited until 2 or 3 months before production (late summer roughly) most of that would go away.

Its been a month since they showed the car, and there has been approximately nothing since. Which makes me wonder why they bothered showing it when they did. They could have done it this coming weekend and I can't really see how it would have had a negative impact on anything.

"I hate this waiting bullsh1t" lol what did you do before the internet? We have more information now then ever, you used to find out a new model was coming out when you drove behind one on the road.

Based on the endless whining threads back in Jan/Feb/March/April, someone is going to complain regardless if they don't full info/pricing from the moment they see prototypes driving around. Though it has been dead lately I agree.

Hell they should have just kept revealing pictures of parts every week up until the price reveal.
