Still haven't seen anything that's surprised me. How will the manual transmission Hellcat stack up to the manual transmission only GT500? How will it handle a road course? How much will it cost? Forgive me if I don't take a Dodge promo video as gospel. I'll reserve comment on straight-line performance for when I see some external reviews.

It's trapping the same as the GT500. It's a drivers race. Believe me no GT500 owner will have remorse lol.

OK Chevy whats next???
I thought this was a joke when I first read this. Looks like Dodge is stepping up their game. Makes me curious as to what Chevy is going to answer back with. http://autos.yahoo.com/blogs/motoram...-153150501.htm

If that price is accurate, I'll be in line at the nearest Dodge dealer on August 8th.

Trap speed doesn't tell the story...your average stock GT500 is a 11.9 car, the Tranny in the Shelby is a POS and hobbles the car. It takes a tune, pulley and CAI at least to get a GT500 in the 10's on DR's

"The SRT with Hellcat has the largest front-brake package ever offered in an SRT vehicle, with 390-mm (15.4-inch) Brembo two-piece rotors with six-piston calipers; this is also available on the 392 HEMI® SRT model as part of the SRT Track Pack. New anti-lock braking system (ABS), ESC and traction control systems are configurable for specific tire and powertrain configurations." On the video, during the burnout (2:32 of the video), it looked like 4 piston Brembos, but smaller rotors. Still good IMHO. This is a true muscle car...with lots of gobbs of GO and whole lotta WHOA!!! I would like to see how it does on a road course also, based on the suspension package listed. Should be interesting.

You think a guy with a 730 HP ZL1 is now going to wish he had a Challenger?
