I paid sticker when I ordered my 2013 ZL1 the exact way I wanted it well over a year ago, but the average sale price in my region (greater Chicagoland) was over sticker (according to internet resources and verified by prices quoted by several other Chevy dealers I tried within a 50 mile radius). They made less than 2000 '12 ZL1s and dealers around here were willing to ask over sticker and hold on to a 2013 ZL1 so it could sit in their showroom to draw foot traffic. |

In short, yes they do it....Problem is, there are people out there who will pay that price.

The local Ford here has/had 6 2014's and 4 2013's (sitting on the lot for over a year now). They are not asking over sticker on the 13's,they tried pretty hard to get me out of my camaro and into the snake for 3k under sticker. They want the 13's gone, guess they've had them too long and tired of losing money on them. Honestly almost pulled the trigger 2 months ago on a 13, but the only vert was white and I'm not doing white again.

supposadly with the new mustang body style it will not support the current gt500 motor so they are going ona hiatus for at least a year this may be why they are bumping up the dealer mark up on these cars

The word from SVT is that 5.8L will no longer be offered. Your looking at a spray bored 5.0 twin turbo for the future SVT motor.

To answer the OP's question, I paid MSRP for my 2014 in July of 2013. Under sticker for a 14 is unheard of unless you've got a dealership connection. I would think a dealership still sitting 13's would be ready to deal...

The new SRT Hellcat Challenger will rape and pillage that GT500 and it will turn lol... Just saying. If my ZL1 wasn't so worthless (literally trade in value is -10k lol) I'd have gone and bought that Challenger. Only time will tell.
Yes, I've seen it and its engine in person when I was in Auburn Hills, and I saw it and heard it on the test track it sounds so mean lol... The wine is similar to our cars with a rotofab but just louder, and the engine note is delicious. I was standing watching it as if its a damn good HD porn lol |

Mark up is not common for new cars... If you want a ridiculous markup, look at the C7... I've seen this crap range from 5k to 20k.... 20K?!? Holy god! Mark up is garbage, don't ever pay it. Yes there is a premium for these vehicles, but if waiting a few months will save you 10k... I'd say its worth it. Paying sticker is fair for premium vehicles, as they will sell fairly quickly. It's basically up to the dealer. Will they get a sucker paying the mark-up for wanting the car now? Or take the money now on this guy and buy it MSRP?

rstrych9 - I've been stationed on both east and west coast and they have never been a problem finding Shelby's on dealerships (not all, but not hard to find), but since you don't believe me and believe in urban legend that's about Shelby's being hard to find I've attached today's link showing ALL 6 2014's on the lot! Next time maybe when someone puts something out take it for face value! Whoever told you about only getting 1 or 2 allocation, yes you need to Beatch slap them for lying to you...

Slither I can see that in outlying areas, but they have more than this last year. It's what they order every year. I have seen plenty not get even one, normally not a high volume dealership. These came off the truck from the factory.
